We love the look of Kieran Boorman’s very patinated Volvo Amazon. Not a lot of paint left but looking very smart on wide steel wheels with the stock black vinyl upholstery. We setup his fresh engine with cam and twin SU’s on the rollers.

Nick Naismith Austin Westminster
One of our favourite historic racers on the 50’s saloon car grid is Nick Naismith’s Austin A90 Westminster. Straight six power is hard to beat in a 50’s saloon and this car can most often be found at the pointy end just like Jack Sears Westminster back in 1958. Nick brought the car in for a setup on the rolling road but I’m not obliged to disclose any power figures. See you on the grid mate.
Ford Model A Special
Our friend Toby Ballard brought in his latest creation. A custom bodied Ford Model A which is being built for some VSCC events. The engine has been over bored and built with a high compression cylinder head. It is producing an enormous 110 ft/lb of torque at 1000rpm. The redline is rather low on these pre-war engines. We took it to 1800rpm where it produced 31bhp at the wheels.
Iconic classic. Dino 246 and Lotus Cortina
A pair of iconic classics in the workshop. The Dino 246 has been gaining in popularity now for a number of years and is undeniably a beautiful car. This one has had a fuel system service with fuel lines, tank and carburetors cleaned through. The Lotus Cortina has also gained a huge following in the last decade. This one has been unused for some years and is having some teething troubles, oil leaks, wheel bearings whining etc.
