The restoration of this original BMW E9 3.0CSL is now complete. We’ve rebuilt this car from the ground up. We’ve put in many many hours but the results speak for themselves. It looks as good underneath as it does on top. We are really happy to be able to hand this car back just before Christmas.
BMW 3.0 CSL restoration continues
The BMW 3.0 CSL is coming together fast now. Most of the hard work is done. The wiring loom is in, all of the running gear, brakes, engine and fuel injection are all in place. Waiting now for the upholstery to come back and the glass from polishing. Hoping to have this back on the road by the end of the summer.

Alpina update: subframes etc
Some good progress has been made on the Alpina CSL. Both the front and the rear subframes had stress fractures in them. We blasted them, welded the cracks, reinforced the areas and painted them in there original colours. The original shock absorbers have been off to Bilstein to be rebuilt. We specifically asked them not repaint the bodies as we want this car to retain as much of its originality as possible. If something doesn’t need painting it will simply be cleaned and put back on the car. The fuel, coolant and oil lines have been reinstated as well.
