On the rollers today is Martin Blooms Rover P6 following an engine rebuild. At 750miles since the rebuild we tuned to 3500rpm. Once fully run in Martin will bring the car back to tune the top end. Richard Long of the Southern Classics Society brought along his Triumph Vitesse for a tune up.
Barry Kemp brought his well maintained Triumph GT6 in to have an overdrive gearbox fitted and a new clutch. The installation was straight forward and Barry can now enjoy some motorway driving in reasonable peace.
Rich Bennett brought in his Triumph Spitfire down last week for a rolling road tune and a geometry setup. He has recently had the front end rebuilt and wants to make sure everything is spot on.
Sue Hammond brought in her beloved MGBGT for a new set of doors. The old doors had succumbed to rust and have since been repaired a couple of times before. There was little we could do but order a new set of Heritage doors. This will be fitted, gapped and painted to match.
In the bodyshop this week is one of the very last classic Mini Coopers ever made. This car was one of the last 500 made before production of the classic Mini came to an end. This example is in for a small repair to the front right corner. It will need a new Sports Pack arch, dent removal and a localised respray on the damaged corner.
