Testing Jaguar XK140 race car ahead of Donington Historic Festival

We’ve been testing the XK140 race car. Following the recent return of the Mira-Gomez XK140 for the 2019 season, we’ve been busy preparing the car for Donington Historic Festival. Now that the car has some proper power from the new race engine, things are getting pushed a lot harder. One of those things being the driver! To help keep the driver in his seat we’ve changed the old leather bucket for a new Tillet B6 Screamer. We’ve had custom leather panels made up to match the existing leather interior.

Prior to Donington Historic Festival, Shaun has been at Brands hatch testing the XK140 race car. Now that the is going quicker we will be looking into some other other upgrades to aid handling.

COMING SOON! CCK online shop!

The long awaited CCK Historic online shop is nearly here. The finishing touches are being made now ready for the official launch this Christmas. We will only stock the products that we trust and will only sell you a product that has been thoroughly proven on track. Quality and reliability are so important in today’s classic and racing cars but with the huge selection of products available it is hard to know what is trust worthy and what is going to leave you stranded. Our stock of race proven products will be available along side the products we make in house including our range of fibreglass products, roll cages, machined components and vehicle specific products for Lenham, BMW 3.0 CSL, Sebring Sprite and Marcos 1800GT.

Preparation for Goodwood Revival

The next major event in this years calendar is of course Goodwood Revival. In the workshop we are busy getting the cars ready for the St Mary’s Trophy. Other than our own Nash Metropolitan we are currently working on Dave Griffith’s Standard Vanguard, the Turners Ford Zodiac, Roger Wills Gaz Volga, Julius Thurgood’s MG ZA Magnette and Bonham’s Riley 1.5. We’ve got engines being built, suspension setups and a little tarting up all going on. If you are attending this years Revival please pop down to the St Mary’s paddock and say hello.

Goodwood Revival Photos

I’ve just added a page to the site which documents our history at the Goodwood Revival. In the 6 years between 2005 and 2010 we’ve had 3 podium finishes and a best presented team award. For 2012 we will be looking after no less than 4 cars. All photos by Jeff Bloxham.
