Daimler V8-250 of Southern Classics Society Events Coordinator

The Daimler V8-250 was the first Daimler to use a Jaguar platform and the last Daimler to use a Daimler engine. And what a great engine it is too. The small, hemispherical head (HEMI) V8 engine is a beautifully engineered machine. This car is a recent acquisition of the Southern Classics Society events coordinator Richard Long. The car is in lovely condition having been restored some years ago. We didn’t find too much wrong with the car, mostly deterioration of rubber components including power steering hosed, coolant hoses and suspension bushes. In the new year we will be looking at the brakes. Needless to say this car will be on the road at many club events during 2019.
