The HRDC season came to an end at Donington last week. We were there supporting Larry and Laurie Tucker in the Shleby GT350R and Ashley GT and our own Charles Rainford in the Marcos 1800GT. A fabulous weekend with great on track action. Both the Tuckers have made huge progress this season and were charging in the race. Charles qualified 2nd and had an epic battle with Pete Chamber’s Lotus Cortina in the race.
Charles completes his season at Donington with the HRDC
Charles Rainford has finished his season in style at the HRDC’s final round at Donington Park. Charles but in a cracking drive against some big machinery in a 42 car grid. He qualified 12th and finished 11th and 3rd in class in the Allstars/A-Series Challenge race and also acquired his 6th and final signature to upgrade his license. Watch out for him next season. 4 cars entered for the A-Series Challenge
The inaugural A-Series Challenge race also happens to be the last race of the season. We’ve been busy this week preparing our 4 entries for the race which will be held on November 7th at Donington Park. Charles Rainford will be behind the wheel of his Lenham for his third race. Ian Burford will be driving ‘Lumbertubs’ the Austin-Healey Sprite. Larry Tucker will be racing his Ashley GT and David Moran will be borrowing our trusty old MG1100. Should be a lot of fun.
