We did a base setup on this very smart Mk1 Mini when the engine was new. Now it has been run in the owner brought it back to install a CSI electronic distributor and to check the tuning at the top end of the rev range.
Two lovely Mini’s in today. A bright Green Innocenti Cooper S and a Mk2 Cooper S Works rally car replica. Both cars running 1293cc engines on twin 1.5″ Su carbs.
Today we had Harry Naismith’s Mk1 Mini Cooper S on the rolling road. The car has been prepared for track days but Harry and his dad are looking at prepping it for some historic racing.
Robert and Martin Pavey brought their freshly build Mini to us for a setup and some running in time on the rolling road. The pair have put a lot into building this car and it is nearly ready for the road now. The 1380cc engine is running a Swiftune camshaft and twin HS4 SU carburetors.
