We’re making good progress on Larry’s Shelby GT350R race car build. The custom wiring loom has been completed and we are onto the plumbing. The fuel lines are braided with Aeroquip fittings from the ATL fuel cell in the boot, through a swirl pot, regulator and two Holley fuel pumps, through the car and into the engine bay. Similarly, the brake lines are also braided and travel through inside of the car. The windows should be going in this week and then we will be just about ready for the engine and gearbox. The steering wheel is the original type made by Moto-Lita and custom trimmed in black suede.
Shelby Mustang GT350R under construction
Now the racing season has finally finished we have the time to make some real progress on the big projects. Larry Tucker’s Shelby GT350 FIA race car build is making some progress this week. We are getting the car wired with a custom made loom. Switch panels have been constructed and mounted within reach of Larry’s seat. We still have some plumbing to do before the engine arrives.
