The fast road Austin A40 build is complete. The owner collected the finished car on Friday afternoon before his 800 mile drive to his home in France. The car made it without missing a beat and the freshly build 1293cc engine will now be nearly run-in. The rare left hand drive model will be spending its life on the mountain roads of the French Alps.
The fast road Austin A40 build has reached the final stages. The 1293cc fast road A40 has been fitted with disc brakes, anti-roll bar and Weller Wheels and is now getting road tested before it heads to its new home in France.
Progress has been made on the fast road Austin A40 project. The 1293cc engine has been completed and is now in the car. Next we will be fitting a Brise alternator and geared starter motor to it. The window and door rubbers will be replaced and a new carpet set fitted along with a pair of seats, stack rev-counter and a Moto-lita steering wheel.
We are working on a fast road conversion for an Austin A40. The car is a very rare LHD example that will be heading to France once complete. We are currently fitting a Midget front disc brake setup with anti roll bar and heavier front springs.
A very rare left hand drive Austin A40 was brought to us for a fast road build. The car is in remarkably good condition and very original. The customers plan is for a fast road 1293cc engine, 1275 Midget gearbox and disc brakes.
