Shelby GT350R receives period livery

Larry Tucker’s Shelby GT350R is nearing completion. One of the last jobs was to apply the period livery based on the Mark Donahue car from 1965. Roundels were painted in white with the Shelby side stripe stickers applied along the bottom of the doors. There are just a few small jobs left before the car makes its debut for the 2017 race season.

Now the racing season has finally finished we have the time to make some real progress on the big projects. Larry Tucker’s Shelby GT350 FIA race car build is making some progress this week. We are getting the car wired with a custom made loom. Switch panels have been constructed and mounted within reach of Larry’s seat. We still have some plumbing to do before the engine arrives.

Easily one of the most desirable cars in the world. A Ford Mustang pushed to its limit by Carol Shelby for one purpose. To go racing. This car is going to be no exception. We are currently in the process of preparing this car for Larry Tucker. It is being built to FIA spec and will be seen competing in major historic GT grids from next season. The car is on its wheels now with a 9″ rear axle. We are currently sealing the bulkheads and plumbing the car for fuel and brake lines. A custom wiring loom will go in along with all the required FIA safety equipment. Watch this space for progress and up to date photos.
