The tubular chassis repairs to the Formula Ford 1600 are now complete. Two steel bars were carefully removed before new ones were made and brazed into place. The rear of the frame was them painted in 2k black before being reassembled.

We have a Formula Ford 1600 in for a chassis repair this week. The tubular steel chassis is brazed together which gives it some flexibility and prevents the chassis cracking under stress. We are replacing the two tubes which locate the front of the engine. One of which has cracked and has been previously welded.
