This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mechanic to join our expanding team. Based in East Sussex the position is full time from Monday to Friday but will also include weekend race meetings during the racing season (March-October). Experience working with classic cars in a workshop environment as well as at race meetings is essential. Events include Goodwood Revival and the Silverstone Classic as well as historic race series both in the UK and abroad. We are looking for a competent mechanic who thinks and works in a logical manor and who has a good understanding of engineering and historic vehicles. This is a position of responsibility which requires reliability, enthusiasm, self motivation, and the ability to work quickly under pressure. Successful applicants should have the competence to perform general maintenance on classic cars as well as building historic race cars from the ground up. The type of work may include; general service and repair of classic vehicles, service and repair of company vehicles including trucks and trailers, preparation of historic race cars, track side support, restoration of historic vehicles, rebuilding historic race cars and building new historic race cars. Knowledge of MSA and FIA regulations is a bonus. Other skills may include welding, panel and body work, fabrication, roll cage making, vehicle electrics and rolling road operation and tuning. You will be required to attend an interview and may be asked to work a day on site with the team and demonstrate your abilities. Applicants must have own tools.
