26,000km Classic Ferrari 328 GTS service and recommissioning

In the workshop we have a low mileage classic Ferrari 328 GTS for a service and recommissioning. This car has only covered 26,000km (15,000 miles), however, it has been stored for many years without running. It is an original Italian market car that came to the UK 30 years ago. As the story goes the car belonged to a Mafioso who needed to get rid of it during a tax investigation. Although the car is immaculate it has not run in 10 years. This means that the engine will require a major service which includes all timing belts and tensioners. Additionally, the brakes will require a major overhaul. All that will be left is to drive following this 328’s classic Ferrari service.

Iconic classic. Dino 246 and Lotus Cortina

A pair of iconic classics in the workshop. The Dino 246 has been gaining in popularity now for a number of years and is undeniably a beautiful car. This one has had a fuel system service with fuel lines, tank and carburetors cleaned through. The Lotus Cortina has also gained a huge following in the last decade. This one has been unused for some years and is having some teething troubles, oil leaks, wheel bearings whining etc.

Ferrari Dino 246 Full Service

Dino 246 full service

This week we have a beautiful Ferrari Dino 246 for a full service. This time around the Dino is getting a major service. This includes brakes and suspension. All moving suspension points have been check and lubricated and the brakes have all been cleaned and adjusted. Additionally, we change the brake fluid as brake fluid will degrade over time. As well as the underneath, we’ve been in the engine bay. We’ve changed the oil and filter and serviced the ignition system. Finally, we’ve carried out a general pre-MOT check.
