We offer a full engine building service here at CCK. Whether it be a completely standard unit, a mildly tuned road engine or an all out race or rally motor. We can offer advice on modifications such as cylinder heads, carburettors, compression ratios, manifolds, headers and camshafts. We have an in house machine shop if your block needs decking or you need to skim your cylinder head. We can also wedge and blade your crankshaft. When your new engine has run in you can of course bring it back in for tuning on our rolling road. Our engines can be seen in action in many historic racing cars around the UK. A P1800S arrived this week for recommissioning. It’s been off the road for a couple of years so will require a thorough going over before we take it for an MOT. Suspension and brakes will need some attention to bring this classic back to streets. Its great to see such an iconic design returning to regular use.
Peter Warren has returned to the CCK workshop to resume the restoration of Shaun’s Austin-Healey 3000 shell. He has a lot of work to do as this shell has plenty of rust, but needless to say Peter will do a grand job bringing this big Healey back to the road.
