Jaguar E-type painted

All done. The E-type has been finished and looks stunning. We’ve gone the extra mile with this one with two coats of primer wet flatted before the base coat and clear. The restoration of the shell was so good we had to have a paint job to match the quality. Can’t wait to see this car once assembled.

This week at CCK

A varied range of tasks in the workshop this week. The E-type is coming along beautifully and now has paint underneath, the top will be painted over the course of the week. Dave Griffith’s Vanguard is getting repaired after an off at Mallory Park, but is also getting a new engine, larger and more powerful ready to take on the competition next season. A fresh engine build for for a classic Mini as well as some fibreglass products for a BMW CSL Batmobile.

Whats your favourite big Healey colour? Vote here.

As our big Healey progresses in it’s restoration the question of ‘what colour?’ comes up more often. Of course everybody has a different opinion so why don’t you help us make up our minds by commenting below. The choices are; red, white over red, white, ice blue metallic, ice blue over white, British racing green, white over black, red over white.

Austin-Healey 3000 progress update

Much progress has been made to our Austin-Healey 3000 project. In order to ensure the body gets a good fit with good shut lines you must install the engine, gearbox and rear axle and let the chassis settle. Once there you can line up your wings, doors and ‘b’ posts with confidence. This is where we are at.
