Goodwood Revival 2017

As always Lord March hosted another magnificent, albeit wet and windy, Revival. This year we were back with our fearsome Nash Metropolitan and Mike Haigh’s vociferous Ford Falcon. We had legends John Cleland and Tiff Needell sharing the driving duties respectively. Qualifying was rather wet but we lucked out with dry weather for our races on Saturday and Sunday. Both cars ran perfectly and performed well against a very quick grid. Shaun Rainford had a 20 lap battle with Alistair Dyson’s Ford Zephyr and Nick Maton’s MG Magnette bringing the Nash home in 15th from 20th on the grid. Mike put in a blinding drive on Sunday dragging the Falcon from 18th up to 8th! The Falcon finished the weekend in 12th on aggregate with the Metropolitan in 14th. All in all another splendid weekend at Goodwood. Roll on Members Meeting.

Goodwood Revival 2017 live stream

If you can’t make it to the circuit don’t forget you can watch all the action from Goodwood Revival in the comfort of your own home. The whole thing will be streamed live all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For those interested in following us in the St. Mary’s Trophy our sessions will be at 12:15 and 16:20 on Friday, 14:20 on Saturday and 12:35 on Sunday.

Goodwood Breakfast Club

Goodwood asked if we could bring the Metropolitan and the Ford Falcon to their Breakfast Club event last Sunday. Goodwood wanted to display a selection of cars that are competing in this years Revival outside the Jackie Stewart Pavilion. Luckily the weather was superb, as was the breakfast. Always a great event.

BTCC legend John Cleland confirmed for Metropolitan drive at Goodwood Revival

We can confirm that the British Touring Car legend John Cleland will be sharing the drive with Shaun Rainford in the Nash Metropolitan at this years Goodwood Revival. John first drove the car on it’s debut at the 2012 Goodwood Revival in the rain. His mastery of the slippery conditions can be seen in the video below. Since that time the car has been through some development and is a lot more competitive. We cant wait to see what John can do this year.

Nash Metropolitan returns to Goodwood

From the sublime to the ridiculous. The plucky Nash Metropolitan will be making it’s return to Goodwood at the Revival this September. Since the car’s last appearance at the 73rd Members Meeting we’ve been working hard. The car has gone on a diet, it has a new engine and the suspension is being developed to help keep all four wheels planted firmly on the tarmac. We are planning to get some testing done during August.
