Jan Peterson stopped in on his way home to the continent from the Mini Cooper Register day at Beaulieu. His superb Works inspired Mk2 Mini Cooper S needed some front end geometry prior to a magazine photo shoot and a drive back his home in France. We love the close attention to detail on this one.
A smart little Mk2 Morris Mini with a 1275cc engine and twin HS4 carburettors. The engine was running poorly due to a number of factors. We set the points gap and set the ignition timing. Once the twin SU carburettors were balanced we setup the idle then gave it a power run. A change of needles was required to get the fueling right but it runs an awful lot better now.
Noel Durdant-Hollamby brought down is beautifully restored Mk2 Mini Cooper S Police car down for a rolling road tune today. The car was running great and only need a slight adjustment at the top end. Ian Goodwright is not only our master painter but also fulfils the role of in-house Mini anorak. His knowledge of classic mini’s is extensive and his ability to restore even the most rotten example to a very high standard is remarkable. Ian’s 1963 Mk1 Morris Cooper was restored to the highest possible standard. Finished in Smoke Grey with white roof, Ian carried out all of the restoration work himself to achieve what should be considered one of the finest Mk1 Mini Cooper’s in the world.
