Today was the day the first Lotus Elan hard top came out of the mould. Steve Gunnis has been kind enough to lend us his Elan Sprint for the prototyping process. I have achieved a good fit today. Tomorrow I will fabricate some brackets. Not long now till will bring this product to market. Thanks for you patience.

We are in the finishing stages of preparation of Ian Burford’s Sprite based racers. The first is Lumbertubs. Named after the street it was built in back in 1963. It features a one of a kind aluminium roof and GT back with a Sebring Sprite bonnet. It has genuine period race history and will be back on track this season with the HRDC. Ian’s other car is his well known Lenham Le Mans, previously owned by Barry “Whizzo” Williams.
A classic Mini Limousine is now available to hire for weddings or special events. We have a few cars on the rolling road this week. John King from King Classic Cars in Hove brought his remarkable Jaguar XK120 for a tune up along with Steve Gunnis’ Lotus Elan and a Jaguar E-Type race car from Crosthwaite & Gardiner.
Yesterday we spent the day at Goodwood for the Festival of Speed press day. A whole host of cars were sent up the hill including our James Turner in his 1958 Ford Zodiac. Other cars up the hill included a Ferrari 250 GTO, Ford GT40, AC Cobra, Silk Cut Jaguar to name but a few.
