We’ve pulled the Vauxhall ‘Red Top’ C20XE engine out of this Lotus Europa sprint and hill climb car for a rebuild. The engine is getting some upgrades while we are at it with forged pistons and new cam shafts. The owner is looking forward to having some more power in 2017.

This 1500cc MGA engine is original to a car currently in restoration. The engine was in very good condition with minimal wear. The engine has been fully rebuilt in standard specification with a balanced rotating assembly.

The Ford Falcon made a huge impression at the Benjafield’s Racing club event at Wetherby in Leeds. The new 250-2v cylinder head and twin 2″ SU carburettors providing ample torque and power for plenty of opposite lock action on the loose terrain.

We’ve had two BMW M3’s in the workshop this week. The first is an E36 in need of a major service. The second is an original E30 M3 in need of an engine rebuild. We’ve pulled the engine out ready to strip it down and assess the damage.

We’ve now finished the 250-2V cylinder head and fitted it to the Ford Falcon. The head has been fully ported and polished with big valves, competition double valve springs and exhaust port divider. The head was skimmed to get the compression ratio before being fitted. Next step is manifold fabrication for twin 2″ SU carbs.

We’ve started building the 327ci Chevrolet small block V8 for the Cheetah. The cylinder heads are getting the full port and polish treatment with large competition valves.
