Austin-Healey 3000 progress update

Much progress has been made to our Austin-Healey 3000 project. In order to ensure the body gets a good fit with good shut lines you must install the engine, gearbox and rear axle and let the chassis settle. Once there you can line up your wings, doors and ‘b’ posts with confidence. This is where we are at.

Update: Volvo 122S

Our Volvo 122S is now in paint. This afternoon it will receive it’s pale blue roof. Remember this car will be available to hire or purchase for next seasons HRDC TC63 race series.

Big Healey progress

Steady progress has been made to our Austin-Healey 3000 project. Welding of the chassis has now been completed. We’ve seam welded it to help add a bit of rigidity and although this will be a road car it will give us the option of building the car for a sporting future if we desire. Peter Warren is now working on fitting and repairing the body work.

JUST IN! Volvo 122S for TC63

CCK have just brought in a Volvo 122S and will be building the car for the HRDC’s TC63 race series. This Volvo has a very tidy, virtually rust free shell with some competition experience in it’s past. Ian Goodwright will perform his magic and apply a fresh coat of paint before passing it over to Graham Smeeton to build up. The well known and reliable B18 1800cc 4 cylinder engine will provide the propulsion to make this a very competitive yet accessible racer. This car will be available for sale. If you have any interest in this project please contact Daniel via the form on the contact page.

Volvo P1800S recommissioning

A P1800S arrived this week for recommissioning. It’s been off the road for a couple of years so will require a thorough going over before we take it for an MOT. Suspension and brakes will need some attention to bring this classic back to streets. Its great to see such an iconic design returning to regular use.
