This alloy bodied 1949 Jaguar XK120 came in after the new owners purchased it at auction in the USA. Once imported the the car was registered in the UK and after a full service, some new batteries and quick run on the rollers it is ready to be enjoyed.

A busy week at CCK. We got back from Silverstone last weekend to face a busy week in the workshop. Tim Dallas’ lovely Alfa Romeo 2000GTV was booked in for check over and MOT prior to its UK registration. A Fiat 500 came in with running issue that causes it to cut out after a mile or two and Mark Weaver’s MGB was in for a brake and suspension service prior to some summer track days. Bring on next week.
In for some clutch and column change shift linkage setup. I don’t know that I have ever seen a Hillman Minx of this age before. We quite like it.
This week we have a beautiful Ferrari Dino 246 for a full service. This time around the Dino is getting a major service. This includes brakes and suspension. All moving suspension points have been check and lubricated and the brakes have all been cleaned and adjusted. Additionally, we change the brake fluid as brake fluid will degrade over time. As well as the underneath, we’ve been in the engine bay. We’ve changed the oil and filter and serviced the ignition system. Finally, we’ve carried out a general pre-MOT check.
