This past weekend we were also at Brands Hatch for the HSCC meeting. Ian Burford was racing his Ginetta G4 and scored another podium with 3rd place overall and Charles Rainford got a trophy for ‘best drive’ for working his way up to 10th overall on Dunlop historic tyres whilst everyone else was on Yokohama’s.
Despite the torrential down pour that lasted most of Saturday Goodwood Revival once again proved itself to be the premier historic motorsport event. Last weekend we were up at Donington for the CSCC’s Swinging 60’s race. Richard Ford and Stuart Bancroft were out in the green Triumph TR4. It was a little wet but the car performed admirably and the guys had a great race.

We’ve now finished the 250-2V cylinder head and fitted it to the Ford Falcon. The head has been fully ported and polished with big valves, competition double valve springs and exhaust port divider. The head was skimmed to get the compression ratio before being fitted. Next step is manifold fabrication for twin 2″ SU carbs.

We had an eventful Gold Cup this year with Larry Tucker’s Ashley getting t-boned during qualifying and the gearbox in Ian Burford’s Ginetta giving up during Saturday Morning practice.
