Ready for Donington Historic Festival

It has been a hugely busy week but we are here at Donington with 3 cars ready to race at this weekends historic festival. The Jaguar XK140 is back from Portugal with Joao Mira-Gomes competing in the Woodcote Trophy. Mike Haigh is out for the first time since his Goodwood podium in March. This time however he will be piloting his 1958 Ford Falcon in the HRDC Touring Greats race. Finally Larry Tucker will be out in the Shelby GT350R for the cars second ever appearance.

Ford Falcon and Lenham at HRDC Goodwood trackday

Monday was another day at the circuit for us. This time it was Goodwood for the annual HRDC track day. With us was Mike Haigh and his wonderful inline 6 powered Ford Falcon and his Lenham Le Mans. The 6 cylinder engine sounded better than ever, echoing across the air field, with it’s new 250-2V cylinder head and twin SU carb setup.

HSCC Silverstone Finals

As well as Donington Park on Saturday we were also attending the HSCC Silverstone Finals on Sunday. Ian Burford and Larry Tucker were taking part in the final round of the Historic Road Sports Championship. Qualifying was wet and very tricky but both finished. Ian started and finished 11th overall and Larry started and finished in 21st overall and 3rd in class. Photo Joshua Barrett.

CSCC Donington with Triumph TR4

Last weekend we were up at Donington for the CSCC’s Swinging 60’s race. Richard Ford and Stuart Bancroft were out in the green Triumph TR4. It was a little wet but the car performed admirably and the guys had a great race.
