Lenham Le Mans ready for HRDC Donington

Our new Lenham Le Mans is nearing completion. The final touches are being put in place now before a rolling road tune and a trip up to Donington tomorrow afternoon for the HRDC “Allstars” race. The 1330cc racer started out as one of our Midget challenge cars. The transformation to Lenham Le Mans has taken place over the course of the year. We think it looks rather smart painted in the Marenollo Concessionaires livery with Weller wheels. Shaun Rainford will be driving this weekend, and when he’s old enough Shaun’s son Charles Rainford will take the wheel.

Two cars prepped for Burford

We are in the finishing stages of preparation of Ian Burford’s Sprite based racers. The first is Lumbertubs. Named after the street it was built in back in 1963. It features a one of a kind aluminium roof and GT back with a Sebring Sprite bonnet. It has genuine period race history and will be back on track this season with the HRDC. Ian’s other car is his well known Lenham Le Mans, previously owned by Barry “Whizzo” Williams.

Lenham Le Mans hire car takes shape

Much progress has been made in the last couple of weeks. Ian has done a great job of bonding my fibreglass back to the Midget chassis and painting everything in bright red. Can’t wait for the stripe.
