This lovely Ford Escort RS2000 was brought in for a general tune and service as it was running terribly. We replaced the air filter, points and spark plugs which improved things drastically. A new coolant hose and a quick run on the rolling road and it is ready for its new owner to enjoy this summer.
Jan Peterson stopped in on his way home to the continent from the Mini Cooper Register day at Beaulieu. His superb Works inspired Mk2 Mini Cooper S needed some front end geometry prior to a magazine photo shoot and a drive back his home in France. We love the close attention to detail on this one.
The axle in the Mira-Gomes Jaguar XK140 was damaged last year when a half shaft broke. Damge to the bearing surface left us with a little more end float then we were comfortable and its gotten worse. We’ve removed the axle and will be sending it to be machined. The damaged surface will be cut back and a sleeve inserted to restore the original bearing surface.
This alloy bodied 1949 Jaguar XK120 came in after the new owners purchased it at auction in the USA. Once imported the the car was registered in the UK and after a full service, some new batteries and quick run on the rollers it is ready to be enjoyed.
Now that Jonathan Stevenson’s recent purchase has been refreshed and brought inline with MSA requirements it is ready for its UK FIA inspection. The car came with a Swedish HTP and some of the preparation wasn’t satisfactory. We’ve added counter plates to the roll cage, door bars, harness bar and a new plumbed in extinguisher system. We’ve added the correct badges to the bonnet and bootlid and had the car MOT’d in order to get a UK registration.
